Our Objectives
USID Foundation (formerly HCI-Hyderabad) is initiated exclusively for educational and scientific purposes to promote the following:
  1. To promote understanding among the stakeholders in the IT as well others industry about the science behind Human-Computer Interaction and Usability, its need and benefits to the organizations.
  2. To create a platform for the usability and HCI enthusiast to learn, collaborate, and share their experiences which will enhance their knowledge about Human-Computer Interaction and Usability science, design, skills, development, and the resources.
  3. To provide an effective means of communication between persons having an interest in Human-Computer Interaction and Usability.
  4. To promote collaboration and build effective cooperation with other similar professional organizations within India and internationally.

USID Foundation shall serve professionals, specialists, students, researchers, and anyone in the industry or academia who are working on the design, evaluation, implementation, and study of interactive computing systems and products for human use and has interest in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Usability Engineering, UI Design, Interaction Design and User Experience Research in Hyderabad as well as Andhra Pradesh. This shall also be open for the related professionals like sociologist, anthropologists/ ethnographers, psychologists, technical communicators/writers, and any one who has interest in the same.

The activities and services offered by USID Foundation includes the following:
  1. Collecting and disseminating information through a newsletter, announcements, and other physical and/or electronic media as are deemed appropriate.
  2. Organizing and Sponsoring meetings, conferences, symposia, discussion groups, and workshops.
  3. Serving as a source of information for its members, and the general public.
