The Meeting
was participated by from 21 different
organizations including Satyam, Convergys,
Sun Microsystems, Wipro, Progress, Cognizant,
Think Design, SSA Global, Deloitte, NCR,
OSI Technology, STI, Mind Visions Tech,
SilverCoin, Axaya Cybertech, EWN, CITEC,
SQL Stor, Gold Everest Software, Kern
Communication, and CA along with students
from IIIT and NID.

of Meeting |

| The
June Monthly Meet up was organized at VIT
Park, CA office on June 2nd 2006. |
| |
|
The meeting was participated by professionals
from twenty-one different organization including
Satyam, Convergys, Sun Microsystems, Wipro,
Progress, Cognizant, Think Design, SSA Global,
Deloitte, NCR, OSI Technology, STI, Mind
Visions Tech, SilverCoin, Axaya Cybertech,
EWN, CITEC, SQL Stor, Gold Everest Software,
Kern Communication, and CA along with students
from IIIT and NID. |

| The
meeting started at 5:45 PM and opened by
Raman Saxena, UI Architect CA; through introduction
session stating status of petition for ACM-CHI
local chapter and the change of name. |

| |
 |
| |
| The
updated version of both the First Year Activity
Plan and Chapter Bylaws prepared as part
of petition for local ACm-CHI chapter was
discussed. The same had already been shared
with the existing members of HCI-Hyderabad
and other interested in its activities.

| During
this introduction session the participants
were handed over a self-nomination form
for the various activities. |
| |

| |
| Following
this, Ripul Kumar, Director – Kern
Communications talked on "Tree Views
in Enterprise Applications -- Is it the
right choice?". Ripul shared some valuable
points on the disadvantages of using tree
in an enterprise application. |

 |
| |
 |
| |
| This
was followed by a presentation on Accessibility
by Raman Saxena. He gave an overview and
introduction on accessibility laws, specifically
Section 508 and its compliance. |
| |
 |
| |
| The
participants showed interest in taking up
this topic for further workshops and hands-on
trainings. |
| |
| Following
the presentations an informal discussion
was conducted on the formation of activities
committee and future steps to be planned
by these committees. |
| |
 |
| |
| The
participants nominated themselves for various
committees with an order of preference through
the self-nomination form. It was decided
that the nominations will be compiled to
come up with a set of members for each of
the committee. |
| |
| The
meeting was concluded at 8:30 PM after an
informal chat over snacks. Participants
interacted and exchanged ideas informally
and discussed their interest and focuses.
