| The HCI Hyderabad
September Meet up was organized at Pramati Technologies
office. The meeting was attended by more than
30 professionals from various different organization
including CA, Satyam, Pramati Technologies, Microsoft,
Virtusa, Motorola, Progress, Convergys, Think
Design, Covansys, Greenspace Technologies, Microusability,
SDG and Kern Communications. . |

The September HCI-Hyderabad Meet up started
at 6:30 PM due to heavy rains. |

| |
| The
Meeting was participated by more than 30
professionals from various different organization
including CA, Satyam, Pramati Technologies,
Microsoft, Virtusa, Motorola, Progress,
Convergys, Think Design, Covansys, Greenspace
Technologies, Microusability, SDG and Kern
Communications. |

The meeting was opened through an introductory
session by Raman Saxena - UI Architect,
CA. The group members were informed about
the latest updates and further feedback
was solicited on the HCI-Hyderabad website
|

|
This was followed
by a presentation on UI Standards to UI
Components by Victoria C., Sr. UI Designer
and Soumitra Das, Development Manager
from CA.

Victoria talked on the
process of UI standardization in context
to CA and how does it help developing
usable interfaces in a development organization.

Soumitra talked about the benefits and challenges
involved in translating & developing the
UI standards to UI components. The audience
participated actively in discussion and
discussed the various aspects benefits of
the process till 8:15 PM. |

Since the discussion
dragged beyond the scheduled end time,
we could not have the talk on A Career
as a usability profession in Singapore
by Tahira Amir Sultan, as she had to leave
early.

Following this Sharad
S. Solanki - UI Architect, Pramati Technologies
presented on research done worldwide on
Tangible Interfaces.

|
The meeting was concluded by informal chat
over snacks. Participants interacted and
exchanged ideas informally and discussed
their interest and focus areas. |
